“Black Otter Guide Service was just what my daughter and I have been looking for over the last 3 years of Elk Hunting. My 14 year old’s number one priority is old school hunting pack style with good livestock, while staying in tents, and getting a good hot meal by the fire in the evening. Gary & company provided just that and more without any bias towards a young girl in rough country. They did ask about her experiences, horsemanship, and rifles skills prior to the hunt, as they did me, which is the absolute right thing to do. She killed a very nice 6X6, one shot, 169 yards DRT and encouraged her to help with the field dressing. Following her success, Gary shared with me that he would like to promote more parent sibling hunts in the future and asked if I would write something up about my experiences taking a 12 year old out in the backcountry. We look forward to hunting again or doing a summer fish trip, with Black Otter in the future.”
