Join us on an unforgettable adventure through the stunning Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness in south central Montana, bordering the north boundary of Yellowstone National Park. Our horseback pack-trips provide access to several million acres of the finest wilderness in the West.
Immerse yourself in the beauty of this spectacular wilderness, home to elk, deer, moose, mountain goat, bear, and bighorn sheep. With excellent trout fishing opportunities, this area becomes your personal playground. From wooded mountain valleys to spacious willow meadows frequented by moose, and high ridges to rugged peaks above timberline—the landscape offers diverse and breathtaking vistas.

Grizzly Creek Camp
July 15 – August 30: We reach this semi-permanent tent camp in the heart of the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness Area after a 16-mile ride over majestic Wallace Pass. This is one of our most popular and spectacular areas with cutthroat trout fishing in nearby Carpenter Lake, Grizzly Creek and Hellroaring Creek. We take four to seven day trips into this camp. Rates for pack trips are $450 per person per day plus gratuities*.

Travel Camps
July 21 – August 24: We offer travel trips into the Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness that offer a rustic view of the backcountry. Guests stay in dome tents, enjoy home-cooked meals, and a pit toilet in each camp. While in camp, guests can enjoying lake or stream fishing, hiking, horseback rides or just enjoy camp camaraderie around the fire. We can start our travel trips from Slough Creek in Yellowstone Park or our Grizzly Creek Camp. Rates for travel trips are $500 per person per day plus gratuities.*
Buffalo Fork Camp: We ride from Grizzly Creek camp over spectacular Hummingbird Pass and down through Telephone Basin to our camp on Buffalo Fork Meadows.
Slough Creek Camp: We ride over Buffalo Fork Divide to get to our Slough Creek camp. You can fish the world famous Slough Creek for cutthroat trout, see Frenchy’s historic homestead, and take rides to Cutoff Mountain.

We offer several different options on these trips: Seven-Day Trips: Three nights at Grizzly Creek and three nights at Buffalo Fork, or Three nights at Slough Creek and three nights at Buffalo Fork Meadows. Ten-Day Trips: Three nights at Grizzly Creek, three nights at Buffalo Fork, and three nights at Slough Creek. Four-Day Trips: We start in Yellowstone Park from Slough Creek trailhead with three nights at either Buffalo Fork or Slough Creek.
